At CMM, we understand the impact the event industry has on the environment both physically and socially, and how it affects the people around us whether it is the community, the suppliers we use or the clients we hold events for.

As a leading operator of global conference and incentive events, CMM recognise the need to carry out our services whilst operating in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

Our objective is to better understand and manage our social and environmental impact both locally and globally by committing to implement all necessary policies and procedures that are listed below.

Environmental Awareness

CMM understand the importance of reducing environmental impact from event related activities in order to maintain sustainability. We achieve this by providing solutions to minimise resource consumption whilst focusing on other main areas such as waste management, recycling, efficient transportation and the reduction of carbon emissions.

Community

CMM operates as a business with consideration for others and aims to support and contribute to communities in a positive manner. Community support can be achieved, where possible, through various means from using local suppliers and their produce to supporting appropriate charities, local community projects or global community programmes that are relevant to CMM's location, products or services.

Partners & Suppliers

Suppliers play an important role in ensuring that we achieve our goal in the delivery of our service and events. We always pay suppliers fairly and promptly whilst monitoring their and our performances, offering open feedback as ways to improve our services for future events.

We seek to work with green transportation and accommodation suppliers where possible and regularly request to view their environmental policy to make sure that it is ethically sound. We also often communicate and engage our CSR policy and standards with our suppliers.

Clients

We ensure clients are aware of carbon offsetting and offer the choice to plan events that will have a lower impact on the environment. We also encourage open and honest dialogue to enhance good working relationships whilst supporting clients by operating in line with current corporate accountability legislation and policies. If requested we provide clients with programmes that contain ideas about community projects that can ensure our client adheres to their own CSR policy.

Our Employees

As a company we operate clear, fair terms of employment and offer continual personal training and development to employees and managers throughout their time at CMM with regular one to one meetings to ensure that employees are happy, positive and are continuously performing to a high standard.

We also maintain equitable benefits and provide reward systems for their productivity and growing performance within the company.

CMM is an ‘Investors in People’ accredited business and this ensures that we are committed to the development of our staff through training and mentoring.

Health & Safety

CMM are committed to providing and maintaining a safe working environment at the office and on-site, and to providing appropriate information, training and supervision where appropriate, which follows all health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Our health and safety policy ensures that we uphold a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees, clients and others who work alongside us. CMM is required to develop, implement and continuously review its health and safety policies annually.
